傳統裙褂的設計講求要「好意頭」，不同的刺繡圖案也代表著喜慶和吉祥的意義，主要的圖案都是以龍鳳為主，取「龍鳳呈祥」的意思，因為「呈祥」與「情長」的讀音相似，寄予婚姻美滿，長長久久。此外，也會繡上鴛鴦、蝴蝶，取成雙成對之意；五隻蝙蝠代表著「五福臨門」；而石榴則寓意子孫滿堂等等，每個刺繡圖案都包含了對新娘滿滿的祝福，具有各種獨特意義。

The main design for “kuangua” is dragons and phoenixes which its pronunciation symbolic to the meaning of long lasting of love.
